Why Choose Expert MRI for Front Open MRI?
Expert MRI’s Front Open MRI® allows patients to lie on a bed without being enclosed in a traditional tube-style scanner. Nothing is positioned directly in front of the patient, which may make this type of open MRI more comfortable for patients with claustrophobia, anxiety, or panic symptoms. The system may also be an option for patients who need more space, including some larger patients, children, and older adults.
Depending on the exam, Front Open MRI® can also support weight-bearing and multi-positional imaging. These capabilities may allow the spine or joints to be evaluated under load or in different positions, providing additional information for the radiologist and referring provider.
Expert MRI also provides centralized scheduling, diagnostic reporting, and online record access for patients and referring providers, helping make the imaging process easier to coordinate.

Open-Facing MRI for Claustrophobia or Anxiety
The open-facing design means nothing is positioned directly in front of the patient. For patients who have difficulty with a conventional MRI because of claustrophobia or anxiety, Front Open MRI® may provide a more comfortable imaging option.
Weight-Bearing and Multi-Positional Capabilities
Depending on the exam, weight-bearing imaging can show how the spine and joints appear under load. Multi-positional MRI may also allow the spine to be imaged in flexion or extension and joints to be evaluated in different positions.
Watch TV During Your MRI
Patients can watch TV during a scan, making the procedure more comfortable and less stressful.
Receive Precise Results
For some exams, weight-bearing and multi-positional MRI allow imaging in a position where symptoms occur. These images can provide additional information for the radiologist and referring provider.
MRI Does Not Use Ionizing Radiation
