Magnetic Resonance Imaging uses a computer, magnetic fields and radio waves to generate images within the body. It can be used for virtually all parts of the body, generating images of the specific area troubling you, and provide a quick and accurate diagnosis for your physician.
Advanced design allows the FONAR UPRIGHT® MRI to scan the patient in the position in which they experience their problems—sitting, standing, bending, leaning, as well as lying down. Other MRI systems can only scan the patient while they’re lying down, and when they may not be experiencing the problem.
Stand-Up MRI is also referred to as “positional” or “weight bearing” as it allows imaging of the patient while the entire weight of their body in an upright position is affecting the spine and other joints.
